I'm Going Home!

I feel like this past week has been a countdown to fall break. The only thing getting me through this week has been the fact that I get to go home this weekend. I'm from Savannah, GA so I don't get to see my family much during the school year. I really only see them on breaks. I also have to fly home, it would be a twelve hour drive otherwise. Last year I didn't even go home during fall break. I went home with one of my best friends because she lives in Illinois. But this year I decided I really needed to see my family. I seriously cannot wait to go home. I will get to see my parents, my brother and my dog. It was also my dad's birthday yesterday so I'm going to be able to celebrate with him when I go home.

I honestly thought this week was going to go by super slow, since I've been counting down until I get to leave, but it actually went by super fast. It is already Thursday! And once tomorrow hits I'm basically done because I'm leaving after all my classes. Tomorrow night my friend Lenore is going to drive me and one of our other friends, Kayleigh, home. Plus, Lenore's boyfriend is coming too. All three of us are musical theatre majors so that car ride should be an interesting experience for him. Then, Saturday morning she's driving us to one of the airports near her in Illinois. Then I'll be home!!!

Other than going home, nothing too interesting has happened this week. My classes were pretty normal, I had one midterm (for this class) and I did get my final scene in my acting class. We will be working on scenes with a partner for the rest of the semester. I'm super excited because my play is super interesting, my scene is going to be super cool, my character has so many things going on with her and I have the best scene partner.

I really need the reset that fall break is going to give me. But once I get back here I'll be ready to dive back in!

  1. I only live an hour and a half away from ONU, so I go home decently often and I still miss my family after I've been away for a couple of weeks. I can't imagine living that far away and only getting to see them on breaks. I have gone home more often this semester because my brother is a senior in high school and I want to see as many of his football games that I can. I'm glad you're able to go home for fall break this year, I hope you enjoy it!
